“Want to Sell Your Car Faster? It Starts With This Process”

Thinking about hiring a car photographer? Here’s how my process works and how it helps you sell faster with better presentation.

This CVO is 1 of 131 and sold at Mecum.

Selling your car isn’t like it used to be. And that’s good! There is not better time be in the used car market. With platforms like Bring a Trailer, Cars & Bids, Mecum, and even Facebook, your vehicle can reach more buyers than ever, but getting noticed is what actually sells it.

That’s where having professional photos sets you apart.

I’ve put together this process to help you streamline your listing process and put the car in the best images.

Step 1: Inquiry & Discovery Call

You’ve made the decision—it’s time to move on from your vehicle.

Once you reach out, we’ll start with a quick discovery call. This helps me understand exactly what we’re working with and how to position your vehicle the right way.

We’ll go over:

  • The type of vehicle

  • Condition and overall readiness

  • Location and logistics

  • Your goals for the sale

  • A timeframe for the shoot

Every car is different, and this step ensures the approach is tailored to highlight what makes yours stand out.

Step 2: Pre-Shoot Preparation

Before the shoot, preparation makes all the difference.

I’ll guide you on how to get your vehicle ready—from cleaning and detailing to small details that buyers notice immediately. A properly prepped vehicle not only looks better, it builds trust and increases perceived value.

Step 3: Location Scouting

Next, we dial in the location.

We’ll go over a few options and choose a setting that complements the character of your vehicle. Whether it’s industrial, scenic, or something clean and minimal, the goal is to enhance the car, not distract from it.

I also keep locations close and convenient to make the process easy while still delivering a strong visual impact.

Step 4: Confirmation & Scheduling

Once everything is set, we lock it in.

You’ll receive a Google Calendar invite along with follow-up communication to make sure everything is confirmed and you’re fully prepared for shoot day. Clear communication keeps the process smooth and stress-free.

Step 5: Shoot Day

This is where your vehicle gets the spotlight it deserves.

A typical Seller’s Series shoot runs about 2 to 2.5 hours. This allows enough time to:

  • Capture every important detail

  • Properly position and stage the vehicle

  • Work with lighting and environment

  • Film detailed inspection and walkaround videos

Nothing is rushed. The goal is to create a complete and accurate representation of your vehicle that builds confidence with buyers.

Step 6: Deliverables

Strong presentation is what attracts serious buyers.

With the Seller’s Series, you’ll receive:

  • 150+ high-quality photos delivered in a private online gallery

  • Inspection and walkaround videos organized in a Google Drive folder

Everything is easy to download, share, and send—whether you’re listing the car yourself or working with a broker or dealer.
